Job Title: Custodian/Janitor

Job Description

The Custodian performs essential custodial duties, focusing on the cleaning and care of buildings and working areas. The primary responsibility is to use proper methods and materials for building maintenance, following a well-established routine. Performance is evaluated through periodic inspections of work areas.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Follow and complete a daily Custodial Cleaning Schedule.
• Pick up trash, cigarette butts, and gum from outdoor areas.
• Check areas for cleanliness, sweeping, mopping, and restocking supplies.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a janitor, custodian, or cleaner.
• Ability to use hand and power cleaning equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a Custodian role.
• Willingness to accept additional duties as assigned.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Function as a team player and accept constructive criticism.

Work Environment

The work environment is a temperature-controlled warehouse.

This is a Contract position based out of Oak Brook, IL.

The pay range for this position is $17.71 - $17.71/hr.
