Cold Header Machine Operator ($19/hr)

Job Title: Machine Operator - Cold Header

Shift: 2nd shift with some overtime!

Position Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Cold Header Machine Operator at a global industry leader in manufacturing and distribution of fasteners and components. You will operate cold heading machines to produce precision parts for the heavy truck, automotive, and other demanding markets.

• Mechanical Aptitude Required: Set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines; perform daily/weekly maintenance to maintain optimal machine performance.

• Die Experience: Use your hands-on die setting and adjustment experience to ensure safe and efficient production.

• Measurement Skills: Regularly use hand tools like micrometers, microcalipers, and various gauges to check parts' dimensions and attributes.

• Blueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to verify wire grade, diameter, and material specs.

• Use SPC process monitoring systems and machine controls.

• Maintain accurate quality records and related documentation.

• Follow all instructions from supervisors and team leaders.

• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and work area.

• Mechanical Inclination: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with machine tools.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Proficient with hand tools and measurement instruments (micrometers, microcalipers, gauges)

• Proven ability to read engineering blueprints

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing 8-10 hours/day

• Adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
