Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Gallatin, TN 37066 (Greater Nashville area)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Adult and NICU Respiratory Therapy
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend)
• Weekend Hours: Rotating; 24 hours scheduled on weekends
• Orientation: Weekly, starting Mondays
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1500–$1550 per week

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (must be valid before start date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care or hospital setting
• Experience in adult respiratory care required; NICU respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment
• Ability to float between respiratory therapy units as needed

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult and neonatal patients in a hospital environment
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including GE Carescape Ventilators, V60s, and Vapotherms
• Document all patient care and treatment outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts and demonstrate flexibility to meet patient care needs
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (scrub color: any)
