We are seeking a compassionate and solution-oriented Functional Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our integrative health team. This role blends conventional medical knowledge with root-cause-focused, functional medicine principles to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and passionate about uncovering the “why” behind chronic illness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, history intake, and lifestyle evaluations.
• Order peptides and prescriptions for the clinic
• Order and interpret conventional and specialty functional medicine labs (e.g., hormone panels, stool testing, food sensitivity, micronutrient analysis).
• Develop personalized treatment plans integrating lifestyle modification, supplements, nutraceuticals, and conventional medications as needed.
• Educate and empower patients on root-cause healing strategies, including nutrition, sleep, stress management, and detoxification.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and ensure timely documentation of all visits and communications.
• Stay updated on emerging research and functional medicine protocols.
• Participate in case reviews, clinical rounds, and educational initiatives within the practice.

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois
  • Board-certified Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (functional medicine preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with both conventional and integrative approaches
• Preferred:
  • Coursework through IFM, A4M, or other functional medicine training. Interest in pursuing these certifications is also a plus
  • Familiarity with using EHR systems
