Key Job Details – Pediatric RN Travel Assignment

• Job Title: Pediatric Acute Care Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Illinois nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel nurse contract
• Unit: Pediatric Acute Care Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130-$2190

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• PALS certification (or ability to obtain within two years of starting RN duties)
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Strong interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills
• Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screening (drug-free campus requirement)

Pediatric Acute Care RN Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate, compassionate care to pediatric patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Apply knowledge of pediatric growth and development principles to address physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for pediatric patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Provide patient and family education on self-care and home care procedures
• Utilize pediatric medical equipment and instruments specific to acute care nursing
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training to maintain proficiency in pediatric acute care standards
