National Sales Executive – Dairy & Cheese

Position Overview

We are seeking a National Sales Executive to drive top-line growth for our dairy and cheese portfolio. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, this individual will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our national sales footprint, with a focus on delivering measurable volume and revenue growth. This is a hands-on commercial role, not part of the executive leadership team initially, but with the potential to grow into a broader leadership position in the next 3–5 years.

The role is based in Neenah, WI and requires being in the office most days to foster collaboration and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth & Execution

    • Maintain 120MM pounds of current sales volume and deliver an additional 20MM pounds in the first 12 months .

    • Develop new customer relationships while strengthening existing retail, foodservice, and distribution partnerships.

    • Execute pricing, promotional, and customer engagement strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Strategy & Innovation

    • Contribute fresh ideas to the company’s existing growth strategy and bring forward new opportunities for expansion.

    • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform future sales initiatives.

  • Collaboration & Culture

    • Work closely with leadership, operations, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment of sales activity with company priorities.

    • Help foster a collaborative, performance-driven sales culture by being present in the office and engaging with the broader team.

  • Travel & Market Engagement

    • Travel as required to meet with customers and deliver annual price increases (approx. 50% travel in the fall, minimal during summer).

    • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in dairy, cheese, or perishable food products.

  • Demonstrated success delivering top-line growth with large accounts and distribution partners.

  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and commercial execution skills.

  • Experience in meat or other perishable food sales will be considered.

  • Must be based near Neenah, WI, with the ability to work in-office most days.

Compensation & Career Path

  • Base Salary : $200K plus performance-based incentives.

  • Growth Potential : Opportunity to expand sales to 150MM pounds within 3–5 years .

  • Long-term expectation is to develop and train a successor , positioning this role for advancement into a broader commercial leadership position overseeing new product lines.

What Success Looks Like

  • Year 1: Maintain 120MM pounds of sales, secure an additional 20MM pounds.

  • Years 2–5: Grow total sales to 150MM pounds, contribute new strategic insights, and prepare for potential expansion into executive leadership responsibilities.
