Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR/Open Heart position requiring Epic EMR experience and a BSN in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Open Heart/Cardiovascular OR unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
• May float to other facilities within the Carle Health system, including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• BSN required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in bedside lab testing, lab specimen collection, and technical operation of clinical equipment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include developing and managing individualized patient care plans using the nursing process from admission through discharge
• Performs bedside lab testing and associated quality control in compliance with provider orders and hospital policies
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and resolve clinical issues
• Provides patient and family education with consideration for age, culture, gender, and developmental factors
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Requested time off (RTO) may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
