Assistant General Counsel - Payments - Vice President
Job Description
Join a dynamic inhouse legal team supporting one of the largest payments platforms in financial services, advising on core banking payment services alongside modernization efforts and development of new payment initiatives. Partner with product and business leaders to provide trusted advice and legal support for product enhancements, disclosures, data-use guidance, and customer-facing communications for Transfers, Pay Chase, Bill Pay, Wires and Zelle services, and develop expertise for, and support advocacy efforts for, the leading payment networks (ACH, RTP, FedNow, EWS, and Check Image Exchange). Stay informed of rapidly evolving laws and regulations, engaging in advocacy and translating regulatory change into practical product decisions.
As a Vice President in Payments Legal for Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), you will be a part of the CCB Payments Legal team, with primary support for CCB’s Banking Payments. Additionally, you will be part of the broader team supporting Wallets, Open Banking, Digital Assets and Consortia Investments. As a lawyer on this team, you will provide legal support across these coverage areas: providing product counsel, legal counseling regarding strategy and business decisions, conducting content reviews for customer-facing material, guidance on data use, monitoring and engaging in advocacy regarding emerging laws and regulations, and updating agreements and terms and conditions. You will join a team of lawyers and legal professionals who combine deep payments expertise with knowledge of emerging payment offerings and new technologies. If you are intellectually curious, passionate about payments, and eager to work at the intersection of law and technology in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, let us hear from you.

If these values resonate with you, we would like to hear from you.
