Associate Network Security Engineer

Network Infrastructure & Security Subject Matter Expert Location: Seattle Job type: Hybrid Role Overview

The role is responsible for providing deep technical expertise, analysis, and strategic guidance across Cisco-based network infrastructure, security, voice, and emerging technologies. The position focuses on optimization, hardening, cost efficiency, and future-ready network architecture aligned with industry best practices.

Areas of Interest Include:

• Analyzing Cisco networking environments for optimization and hardening.
• Demonstrating expertise in network design and architecture, especially as it relates to required expertise.
• Providing infrastructure environment analysis tools to identify configuration optimization and resource over- or under-allocation.
• Expertise in assisting organizations with Security Operations (SecOps), automation, and vulnerability management programs for network infrastructure.
• Providing analysis of existing Cisco network infrastructure and how clients could leverage it to maximize return on investment (ROI).
• Presenting industry best practices for network design, testing, and updating.
• Providing an industry roadmap for technologies identified in the required expertise section.
• Demonstrating expertise in product licensing and support, with a focus on maximizing cost savings for clients.

• Cisco network management and monitoring systems
• Cisco routing

• Cisco software services and licenses

• Checkpoint Security Solutions (firewalls, software, cloud-hosted)
• Network architecture and design, including micro-segmentation, encryption, and Network Access Control (NAC) concepts and architectures
• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for wireless environments
• Cisco controller-based wireless environments and location awareness software
• Remote access technologies such as VPN

• Webex Cloud Calling and associated hardware
• Webex Contact Center Enterprise
• Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) interfaces, including but not limited to Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and associated Internet Protocol Telephony (IPTEL) protocols
• Digital circuits used for: Wide Area Network (WAN) Local Area Network (LAN) Point-to-point / site-to-site connections
• Special carrier circuits for cloud services (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute)
• Cable Management Systems
