We’re Daeji Dough Company, Lakeview’s newest neighborhood bakery. We started out as a farmers market stand over a year ago and are thrilled to open our doors to the Chicago community. We make handcrafted baked goods and beverages with fun, delicious flavor combinations and the highest quality ingredients. And we’re looking for like-minded individuals with a desire to make a real, day-to-day impact as we build our start-up from the ground up.

Daeji Dough Company is seeking a reliable and driven Farmers Market Lead to manage our market operations during the farmers market season. This is a seasonal, hands-on position responsible for transporting, setting up, selling, and breaking down our farmers market booth. If you’re passionate about food, hospitality, and creating great guest experiences, we’d love to hear from you.

You will:

• Pick up baked goods, equipment, and supplies from our bakery and safely transport them to assigned farmers market locations (Division Street on Saturday mornings May to Oct, plus two pending markets)
• Set up and break down the market booth, ensuring an organized, clean, and visually appealing presentation
• Consistently prepare and display products to the highest quality standards
• Engage with guests in a friendly, knowledgeable manner to create a welcoming and memorable experience
• Accurately handle sales transactions, including cash and digital payments
• Monitor inventory throughout the market and communicate product levels and needs
• Uphold brand standards in presentation, service, and hospitality
• Ensure all equipment and unsold products are returned safely to the bakery after each market
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all market materials and workspace
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve the guest experience
• Communicate effectively with the baking team regarding product performance and customer feedback
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned

• Comfortable working independently in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions

You have:

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle (required)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Basic math skills and comfort handling transactions
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by market schedules
• Eligibility to work in the United States and are 18 years of age or older

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay ranging from $18–$22 per hour, based on experience
