POSITION SUMMARY
Calibration technicians are responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of instruments and equipment to ensure they are calibrated correctly and provide accurate measurements.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform repair and calibration of automated precision inspection equipment and related metrology equipment at the customer’s site.
- Troubleshoot and correct any issues in the hardware and software function of the system.
- Develop calibration procedures, inspection routines, and test installations to ensure systems are in proper working order.
- Communicate changes in instructions or schematics to team members.
- Recommend updates to procedures for accuracy and relevance.
- Ensure that customer needs and expectations are met in a timely cost-effective manner.
- Complete applicable documentation related to calibrations.

- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel overnight.
- Follows all Company policies and procedures
- Associate degree or equivalent college or technical school; 2 years relevant experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of experience in a similar/related field.

- Basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system troubleshooting skills.
- Must possess a basic understanding of machines/milling/metrology.
- Must understand, and follow electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, and ladder logic.
- Must have the ability to use a variety of basic electrical testing / diagnostic equipment and have a basic understanding of AC and DC electrical theory, as well as the ability to use precision measuring instrumentation.

- Valid Driver’s License

- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet all deadlines
- Exhibit a high level of professional conduct, integrity, and accountability.
- Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using wise judgment that is consistent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel as needed for the role, estimated at 10%.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to be on your feet while performing job requirements
- Ability to sit for periods depending on the job requirements.
- Frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding.
- Ability to view a computer for periods.
- Ability to exert up to 10-50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to balance, reach, and grasp as needed for the job.
- Ability to crouch, grasp, and lift products above shoulders to lift boxes and products from the floor properly.
WORK SCHEDULE
- This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week.
- This position is located in the office, not remote or hybrid.
- This position is non-exempt.
