Acute Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Urbana, Illinois 61801 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Facility
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: July 14, 2025 – End: October 11, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $20/week
• Open availability required for flexible scheduling

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or clinical nursing experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Current ICE Clearance required (submit ICE Clearance Screening Form with application)

Acute Care RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in an acute care environment, following provider orders and established protocols
• Administer medications, assist in patient examinations, and support treatment procedures
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with acute illnesses or injuries, escalating care as needed
• Perform emergency nursing procedures and coordinate with healthcare providers for treatment plans
• Supervise and mentor licensed vocational/practical nurses and non-licensed medical staff
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Audit pharmacy use, monitor inpatient hospitalizations, and uphold facility safety and emergency protocols
• Provide health education, counseling, and support to patients and families
