RMJ On‑Prem Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a RMJ On‑Prem Engineer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL/ Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate is skilled in managing enterprise batch workloads, troubleshooting issues, and delivering L2/L3 support across Unix/Linux and Windows environments .

Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

RMJ On‑Prem Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Manage and administer Redwood RunMyJobs On‑Prem, including job scheduling, workload automation, and environment maintenance.

• Lead and support migrations from legacy schedulers into RunMyJobs, ensuring smooth integration and minimal downtime.

• Provide L2/L3 production support, performing root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting failures, and resolving complex batch‑processing issues.

• Develop, optimize, and maintain automation scripts using Shell, PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript to improve operational efficiency.

• Oversee and enhance enterprise batch scheduling operations across Unix/Linux and Windows systems.

• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure batch workloads.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in batch scheduling, workload automation, and RunMyJobs On‑Prem.

• Proven expertise in Redwood RunMyJobs administration, job scheduling, troubleshooting, and L2/L3 production support.

• Strong scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell, Python/JavaScript) with solid experience across Unix/Linux and Windows environments .

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
