SMT Operator

This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment to support efficient electronic assembly operations. The SMT Operator will ensure product quality, minimize downtime, and maintain accurate production records while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Requirements of the SMT Operator

• 3-5 years of experience operating SMT equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Experience with pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to identify defects and maintain high quality standards
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment

Responsibilities of the SMT Operator

• Set up and operate SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens
• Load components and verify correct materials are used according to production requirements
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and quality
• Inspect circuit boards for proper component placement and defects
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate more complex problems as needed
• Follow production schedules while minimizing downtime and maximizing output
• Maintain accurate production and quality records

1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $22.00 - $25.00 hourly, based on experience
