Sr Physical Security Manager

The Sr HSSE Physical Security Manager plays a key role within the HSSE (Health Safety Security & Environmental) organization responsible for the strategic development implementation and oversight of comprehensive physical security programs across all company assets and operations. This position ensures the protection of personnel property and information through robust risk management policy development and cross-functional collaboration while aligning with enterprise governance frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g. NERC/CIP ISO ANSI/ASIS).
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the physical security strategy in alignment with enterprise HSSE objectives and global standards.
- Lead the integration of security governance into field operations and business planning
- Oversee daily operations of all physical security programs including access control video surveillance and intrusion detection systems and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations thereto
- Establish and maintain physical security policies standards and procedures while ensuring documentation is current and communicated to all stakeholders
- Foster a culture of accountability continuous improvement and professional growth
- Collaborate with internal partners (e.g. IT Legal HR Operations) and external agencies (e.g. law enforcement regulatory bodies) to ensure effective security operations and incident response
- Drive adoption of new technologies and best practices in physical security
- Lead projects to upgrade and standardize security infrastructure across the organization
- Ensure readiness for audits and inspections; maintain evidence of compliance and support continuous improvement of the security management system
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Bachelors degree in Security Management Criminal Justice or related field
- Advanced degree or certifications such as CPP/PSP preferred
- A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in physical security operations is required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a project management role is required
- Demonstrated expertise in access control video management and incident response systems (e.g. Avigilon Lenel Genetec)
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NERC/CIP ISO 45001/14001 ANSI/ASIS PAP.1) and industry best practices
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams manage complex projects and drive organizational change
- Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multitask while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter goal-oriented and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize build relationships and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Responds well to direction is easy to challenge and develop and is coachable
- Is detail-oriented has strong business acumen and a sound understanding of business concepts
Work Environment:
This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations. The employee must be able to sit walk or stand for long durations of time.

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois and New York is $15000 - $170000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position candidates education & work experience training & certifications and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
