Outpatient Orthopedics - Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner

Highly regarded orthopedics practice in the northern Chicago suburbs of Libertyville/Gurnee is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their team for an outpatient clinic-based role!

The PA or NP will be joining the bone health & osteoporosis specialist team and also work alongside the rheumatology and infusion teams to manage the care of osteoporosis patients to improve bone strength and maintain bone health.

This position offers flexible schedule and would be approximately 25-30 hours per week with no weekends, no hospital duties, and no call.

Candidates will need to have previous experience in internal medicine, orthopedics, rheumatology, or another relevant field to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Permanent position - part-time or full-time
• Flexible schedule Monday-Friday, exact days and hours are flexible
• No call, no weekends, no nights
• Outpatient clinic only
• Position is with a specialized bone health clinic for a large orthopedics team
• Focus on high risk osteoporosis patients
• Collaborate with rheumatology and infusion teams as well as orthopedics providers to develop treatment plans and improve bone strength and reduce the risk of fractures
• Conduct comprehensive bone health evaluations, blood tests, and imaging and develop personalized plans consisting of lifestyle and medication recommendations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in internal medicine, orthopedics, rheumatology, or other relevant specialties
• Ability to obtain Illinois Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
• DEA License
• BLS/ACLS
