Our firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to handle personal injury pre-litigation and litigation cases . This role is vital in supporting attorneys with client communication, case management, and trial preparation.

You will excel at maintaining attorneys’ calendars, docketing hearings on time, and working independently with minimal supervision. We are a small firm, so the ideal candidate must be self-sufficient and proactive in managing tasks and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior office or law firm experience
• Personal Injury experience preferred
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Transcription experience required
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Proficient in email organization, note-taking, and distribution

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide case updates
• Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from inception to resolution
• Organize and maintain case files (electronic and physical)
• Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties
• Draft and prepare legal documents (pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.)
• Gather and analyze evidence, including medical records and police reports
• Coordinate with investigators and experts for supporting documentation

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
