Speech Language Pathologist (Cook County)

We’re partnering with a school in Cook County, Illinois to hire dedicated Speech Language Pathologist.

The Speech Language Pathologist supports middle school students by assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. This role collaborates closely with educators and families to help students build essential communication skills that support academic success and social development.

• Position Details:
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: 5/22/26
• Schedule: Full-time
• Grade Levels: Grades 6–8
• Location: In Person
• School Year: 2025/2026

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district regulations.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for support.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Experience working with middle school students or in a school-based setting preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage caseloads and documentation effectively in a school environment.
