We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Manteno, Illinois. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to support a variety of human resource functions, including benefits administration, employee relations, onboarding, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with leadership to provide HR guidance, ensure smooth processes, and maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate new employee onboarding processes, including orientation and documentation, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and submitted on time.
• Manage personnel records, tracking employee changes such as promotions, pay adjustments, and separations, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide comprehensive support for leave of absence cases, disability claims, and workers' compensation, acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.
• Assist in payroll and timekeeping activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational policies.
• Interpret and implement company policies, offering guidance on employee relations and performance management to mitigate risks.
• Maintain and track employee training records, generating reports to ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Support benefits administration by distributing information, managing eligibility dates, and collecting benefit election forms.
• Conduct exit interviews and oversee separation processes, including equipment collection and communication related to backfill hiring.
• Collaborate with case managers and leadership to ensure timely resolution of HR-related issues.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity in all HR activities and documentation.
The salary range for this position is $32/hr. to $34/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or a related role.• Proficiency in HR administration, including employee relations, benefits functions, and payroll systems.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, such as Paylocity.
• Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and new employee orientation.
• Ability to manage personnel records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in handling leave of absence cases and workers' compensation claims.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on confidentiality.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
