Procurement Lead
The Procurement Lead focuses on helping to drive savings, provides analysis, and manages category performance of several categories including: IT, IT Peripherals, Product Support, temp labor, mobility, telecom, facilities, and more. Key activities include conducting analytics, managing vendors, utilizing a Procure-to-pay system, conducting QBR’s, negotiating contracts and implementing strategic sourcing activities. Responsible for appying key skills in project management, strong analysis, conducting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and category management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, Operations or related field preferred
- Two years of full-time experience in vendor analytics, strategic sourcing initiatives, buying, negotiations, company expense analysis and strategic sourcing activities for an organization (public or private)
- Experience with procurement and vendor management systems, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Pay (S2P), and Spend Analytics
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analysis of category spend and assisting in managing categories globally to drive savings, process improvement and meet key performance indictators for category, including compliance and monitoring of contracts in alignment with company policies.
- Develops Requests for Information (RFI’s) and RFP’s by conducting in-depth analysis across multiple systems.
- Provides category recommendations, counter-proposals, and negotiates to identify and deliver savings to the organization. Maintains product quality standards and focuses on reducing costs.
- Develolps compliance monitoring programs to ensure implementation strategies are measurable and successful.
- Reviews and provides recommendations to the Procurement leadership in coordination with business stakeholders. Develops best-in‑class category strategies.
- Maintains relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organizations including local, regional and corporate leadership; understand their unique needs and ensures category strategy meets their needs.
- Supports and maintains Procurement policies and processes, including improving vendor payment terms, contract management, driving sustainability initiatives and managing vendors.
- Drafts and reviews contracts with vendors including SOW’s, MSA’s and addendums.
- Works cross functionally with legal, finance and operations to ensure company policies and best practies are followed.
- Identifies and drives continuous improvement processes and reporting.
- Establishes strong relationships with vendors, facilitates communication, and works to ensure products or services provided meet company requirements.
- Leads the evaluation of suppliers and works to reduce vendor risk by developing scorecards and analyzing vendor performance.
