A hospital pharmacy role is available for an experienced pharmacist with inpatient expertise, working at a healthcare facility west of downtown Chicago. This contract opportunity starts June 1 and runs for 13 weeks, offering a structured day shift schedule with rotating weekends.

Location:

• Arlington Heights, IL (hospital west of downtown Chicago)

Schedule/Hours:

• Days, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekends required

Responsibilities:

• Conduct typical inpatient pharmacy duties including medication order verification and checking
• Supervise pharmacy technician workflow ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Perform intravenous (IV) admixture checks to maintain patient safety
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and communication

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Valid Illinois pharmacist license
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Prior experience supervising pharmacy technicians preferred
