Compensation: $20 - $23 / hour (Contract‑to‑Hire)

Job Description:

Addison Group is partnering with our client, a mission driven healthcare organization to hire an Authorizations Coordinator. The Authorization’s Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting the billing and insurance processes for therapy services. This position manages authorization requests, assists with billing‑related tasks, supports credentialing activities, and helps maintain accurate client records. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple payer systems. After training, the position transitions to a partially remote schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit authorization requests for therapy services and follow up to secure timely approvals.
  • Stay informed on payer rules, documentation standards, and authorization requirements.
  • Renew expiring authorizations to avoid disruptions in service delivery.
  • Communicate with internal staff regarding authorization needs, status updates, and payer restrictions.
  • Track approval dates, denials, and support documentation using organized internal workflows.
  • Ensure authorized services are accurately recorded for billing purposes.
  • Review and submit billing for speech services and verify accuracy before processing.
  • Monitor credentialing updates and follow up with payers regarding provider status.
  • Maintain provider information and tracking logs to ensure compliance with payer requirements.
  • Support accreditation and audit activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with billing team members to keep client accounts current and complete.
  • Reliable transportation required

Work Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, flexible start between 8:00–9:00am
  • Full 8‑hour workday ending between 4:00–5:00pm
  • Hybrid after training: 2–3 remote days per week
  • Overtime available when needed
