TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN – Diabetes for travel assignments . This role involves providing specialized nursing care and education to patients with diabetes , helping them manage their condition effectively. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and education to patients with diabetes .
- Monitor blood glucose levels and insulin therapy .
- Administer medications, including insulin and other diabetic treatments .
- Develop individualized care plans for patients managing diabetes .
- Educate patients and families on diet, lifestyle modifications, and glucose monitoring .
- Collaborate with endocrinologists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals .
- Assist in managing diabetes-related complications such as neuropathy and wound care .
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for assignments .
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in diabetes care, endocrinology, or related field .
- Certifications: BLS required; CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) preferred.
- Skills: Strong patient education, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills .
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and assist with patient mobility .
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments .
