Posting Summary Posting Number S00059P Position Title Assistant Coordinator for Special Events Position Type Hourly Department Arts and Sciences Essential Function ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF POSITION This position is primarily responsible for accurate and quality performance in the roles of cashier, Star Store merchandising and operations, group reservations, and event planning and execution. This position must provide excellent customer service to all Cernan Center visitors, members, Triton College students, other departments, and our surrounding communities. The Part Time Assistant Coordinator for Special Events plays an integral part in almost all areas of the Cernan Earth and Space Center. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION :- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in communications, business or
- 1-2 years working in a busy office, store or informal science environment.
- Math, basic statistics, Excel
- Managing multiple, complicated priorities with the utmost attention to all the details.
- Answer questions from visitors of all ages in an age-appropriate manner: vocabulary, content, etc.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and other software.
- Physical abilities: Work in a noisy environment. Lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds. Climb
