About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Wellness and Recreation to lead engaging, inclusive programs across residential and day services.
Responsibilities
- Lead programs that build confidence, connection, and independence.
- Oversee recreation managers.
- Expand community partnerships.
- Design wellness initiatives that promote physical health, social engagement, and meaningful community involvement.
- Your leadership will directly shape how individuals grow, connect, and participate in their communities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Management, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- CTRS certification is required or must be obtained within a designated timeframe.
- Significant experience in special or therapeutic recreation, specifically working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Required Skills
- Leadership experience.
- Budget oversight.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards in social services or healthcare settings.
- Flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend programming.
