Estimator
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
- Identifying and quantifying project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead. Obtaining quotes and pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyzing historical data and industry trends to develop cost estimates.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements.
- Preparing and submitting competitive bids and proposals.
- Participating in project meetings and discussions to provide cost-related insights and recommendations.
- Updating and maintaining cost databases and estimating tools.
- Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Providing cost-related support and analysis to project teams and management.
- Estimators should have strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. They should also have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines are also important for this role.
Skills:
- 1-5 years of experience in Estimating high voltage electrical construction projects
- Experience in any of the estimating software like (WinEST, INEight and accubid etc)
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
