Patient Access Specialist
Job Title: Patient Access Specialist

Hourly: $21/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Welcoming patients, verifying identity, and gathering necessary paperwork.
Accurately inputting patient demographic information (name, address, contact details, medical history) into the electronic medical record system.
Checking insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage details with insurance companies.
Collecting co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments as required.
Coordinating patient appointments with healthcare providers based on availability and medical needs.
Ensuring patients complete all necessary registration forms and documentation.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
Answering patient questions, addressing concerns, and communicating with other healthcare staff regarding patient information.
Required skills:
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification procedures
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
