This position is responsible for safeguarding and protecting the patient’s right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient’s medical information and that all information released is in compliance with the request, authorization, policies and HIPAA statues. This position engages in direct customer service and must perform duties and conduct interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of department and Graham Health System. This position works with many departments within Graham Health System. This position reports to the Director of Health Information Management.

Position Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent

1-3 years of experience in/with hospital Health Information Department or similar medical office setting and Electronic Health Record

Experience in release of information preferred
