Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Belleville, Illinois 62226 (Greater St. Louis area)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Telemetry Unit
• Assignment Length: 13-week contract (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2080
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (required at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a telemetry RN or cardiac nurse
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proficient in cardiac telemetry, cardiac drip management, sheath pulls, and central line care
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Ability to float to all inpatient units at Belleville and Memorial East campuses
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of Belleville, IL
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adults on the telemetry unit, including post-TAVR, cardiac cath, CABG, and other high-risk cardiac procedures
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips (no titration), perform sheath pulls, and oversee central line management
• Conduct bedside shift reports for every patient, every shift, involving the patient in care discussions
• Float to other inpatient units within scope as needed to support hospital staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
• Follow infection control and isolation protocols to ensure patient safety
