Maintenance Mechanic
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Edwardsville, IL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, making necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in maintenance work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
