Job Summary
Th e Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory experiments, product evaluations, testing procedures, and data documentation according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Job Description
- Perform laboratory experiments and product evaluations according to SOPs and approved testing procedures.
- Safely operate laboratory equipment used for testing and evaluation activities.
- Prepare samples, conduct tests, record observations, and document results accurately.
- Analyze test data and complete basic calculations required for laboratory evaluations.
- Prepare basic reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Interpret test results and communicate findings to supervisors and team members.
- Identify and report critical observations during routine laboratory testing.
- Perform minor maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and maintain ISO standards within the work area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute ideas for accident prevention and workplace improvements.
- Assist with training coworkers on SOPs, safety guidelines, and proper equipment use when qualified.
- Complete additional laboratory tasks and projects as assigned.
Skills Required
- Prior laboratory bench experience preferred.
- Ability to closely follow written SOPs and detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform routine calculations.
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to write clear and organized reports.
- Ability to safely handle laboratory equipment and materials.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain compliance with laboratory safety procedures and company standards.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and controlled laboratory workspace.
- Follow all applicable ISO and quality management requirements
- Shift: M - F 6 AM - 2:30 PM
Education
- Hig hschool diploma / GED required
Salary
- $22 - $27 per ho ur (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
