Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Highland, IL 62249 (Onsite – Relocation Required)
Overview
TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Highland, IL. This role focuses on designing electrical/electronic products used in power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 100% onsite initially, with potential for hybrid (2 days remote) after onboarding
Compensation
- $96,000 – $113,000/year (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical/electronic products for power systems applications
- Develop and update electrical designs based on specifications
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineering teams
- Perform circuit design (digital, microprocessor, FPGA, analog, power systems)
- Create schematics and support PCB development
- Conduct simulations, testing, and design validation
- Estimate materials and engineering effort for projects
- Support documentation, including theory of operation and manuals
- Supervise engineers and technicians on assigned projects
- Travel as needed for project support

- MATLAB / Simulink
- LTspice / Micro-Cap

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field
- 6+ years of electrical/electronic design experience
- Strong background in digital electronics, microprocessors, or FPGA design
- Embedded systems experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and lead projects
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available now or in the future)
- Must be local to Highland, IL or willing to relocate
- Must be able to work onsite at a corporate headquarters environment
