Sr. Accountant
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the preparation of financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role provides leadership within the accounting team, assists with audits, and contributes to process improvements that enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets accounting functions as needed.
- Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or CPA candidate required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Salary Description
$75,000 - $80,000/yr.
