QA Engineer

Job Description

This resource will be joining a QA team of 4 individuals focused on the monitoring and testing of cyber focused applications at a large financial institution. This team is currently working on migrating their processes from manual to automation based testing utilizing Cypress for databases, backend and front-end applications. This individual will also be responsible for working within a Hadoop ecosystem and will be monitoring multiple applications at once within a QA team. This resource must also be knowledgeable in SQL or Hue for scripting and writing queries.

Skills and Requirements

• Proficient in Web Services testing

• Experience in DB testing - basic SQL skills

• Experience with Scrum or other agile development methodologies

• Experience with JIRA and qTest or any other test management tool

• Experience in creating use cases for performance and automation testing

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in security testing, preferably with a focus on SOAR platforms.

• Familiarity with Automation testing tools like Cypress

Demonstrable understanding of Javascript - Previous work experience in one or more of the following areas: risk, compliance, audit, operations and/or controls

• Financial experience background
