Bilingual (Japanese/English) Logistics Coordinator
Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc. Job Description: We are seeking a Bilingual (Japanese/English) Logistics Coordinator to coordinate overall customer sales order handling steps and inventory control of Microfilter and Planova businesses in the biopharmaceutical industry. You will act as liaison between customers, AKBA account managers, warehouse partner and suppliers regarding customer inquiries and inventory logistics. You will also maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales and purchase transactions from order entry to invoicing. - Coordinate overall customer sales order handling steps from receiving purchase orders to invoicing. (ERP used is Business Central)
- Provide customer service by quickly responding to customer inquiries, processing sales quotes and purchase orders, releasing product for shipment and customer billing/invoicing.
- Additional support includes (but is not limited to) assisting Account Managers in their product promotion activities by providing product samples in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Accounting Department to support accounts receivable initiatives.
- Contact customers with overdue invoices, keep records of customer payments, and note anomalies to persons concerned.
- Support Logistics team to analyze and manage adequate inventory by closely monitoring the balance between pending customer orders and incoming products.
- Coordinate the overall purchasing process from preparing purchase orders to receiving the products in our warehouse.
- Support Logistics operations by proposing and implementing plans to improve work efficiency and productivity.
- Support Logistics team by backing other members up when necessary.
- Support generating periodical sales and inventory reports for internal information sharing.
- Join internal and external meetings.
- Education BA/BS desired
- Skills Using ERP system and Microsoft Office suite with high proficiency in Excel (especially working skill of functions and pivot tables) and strong critical thinking skills and a problem-solver mindset are required.
- Experience Minimum 2 years in a customer service or logistics role is required.
- Knowledge Understanding of the importance of attention to detail in sales and purchase order handling and inventory management processes.
- Language Exceptional written, verbal, and logic explaining skill in Japanese and English .
