Role Description

The Field Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Elk Grove Village, IL .

The Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-performance packaging machinery at client locations .

Key responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing technical issues with mechanical and electrical systems

• Performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs

• Documenting service activities and maintenance records

• Providing training to client staff to ensure optimal machine performance

• Working closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve equipment-related concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in mechanical systems, electrical systems, and industrial automation

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools and structured problem-solving

• Experience with machine installation, repairs, and preventative maintenance

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Willingness to travel across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada

• Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to last-minute changes

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Associate degree or technical certifications in engineering, mechanics, or related fields preferred

• Previous experience in packaging equipment or manufacturing environments is a plus

• Proficiency in using technical tools, machinery, and computer systems
