Township Administrator

Overview
Oswego Township is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Township Administrator to manage daily administrative, financial, and compliance operations for the Township. This is a full-time, exempt position with excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial administration including accounts payable/receivable, multiple fund reconciliations, investments, and coordination with auditors
• Process payroll through ADP and administer employee benefits, including IMRF and insurance enrollment
• Serve as IMRF Administrator, FOIA Officer, OMA Officer, and Local Records Act Agent
• Assist with preparation of the annual budget, tax levy, appropriation ordinance, and year-end financial reports
• Organize and attend Board, Special, Cemetery, and Annual meetings; prepare agendas, packets, notices, minutes, and postings
• Maintain official township records, resolutions, ordinances, agreements, and digital archives
• Coordinate with township officials, departments, Plan Commission, Cemetery Board, County agencies, and the public
• Manage office operations, vendor documentation, purchasing, certified mail, and public inquiries

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in office administration, finance, HR, or local government
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP (or similar payroll systems), and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage confidential information and multiple priorities independently
• Public sector or local government experience preferred
