Logistics Material Coordinator
Logistics Material Coordinator — Timken | Aurora Bearing
Start strong with paid, hands-on training and real advancement potential.
Starting pay: $17.50–$19.00 per hour, based on experience.
A day in the life
At 7:00 AM, you roll into a clean, organized facility where precision matters. By 7:10, you’re checking the daily material moves in our ERP system and mapping your route across the floor. Before lunch, you’ve safely moved pallets by forklift, verified labels, and staged parts for machining. Midday might include a quick local vendor run and receiving an inbound delivery you route to storage with care. In the afternoon, you’ll spot-check inventory counts, complete production forms, and support the sawing, turning, and grinding areas with the materials they need to keep work flowing. At 3:30 PM, you head out knowing the next shift is set up for success.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, package, and label parts accurately to protect product integrity and ensure traceability.
- Coordinate pick-ups/deliveries to local vendors; receive and organize incoming goods in the proper locations.
- Transport materials using powered equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks (manual and electric), and power pallet movers.
- Load and unload trucks and company vehicles with the correct tools and safe practices.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts to keep inventory precise and audit-ready.
- Read, interpret, and complete production and logistics documentation with accuracy.
- Support machining operations, including sawing, turning, and grinding, by staging and moving material.
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with shop math.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions reliably.
- Clear, professional communication with teammates, suppliers, and plant leaders.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance for local vendor trips.
Schedule & pay
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (day shift).
- Compensation: $17.50–$19.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Tools and systems you’ll use
- Forklifts (sit-down and stand-up/counterbalance “Pacer”), electric and manual pallet jacks.
