About the Role

Our client is hiring an Ocean Import Specialist II based in Chicago, IL. The role involves coordinating end-to-end ocean import shipments, managing required shipping documentation, and working with internal teams and overseas partners to support on-time vessel departures and customs clearance.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end ocean shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and on-time vessel departures.
  
• Manage bills of lading (B/L), commercial invoices, and packing lists in compliance with carrier and customer requirements.
  
• Prepare and provide shipping documentation to support customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and shipper’s export declarations.
  
• Coordinate international cargo movements by managing documentation flow and shipment-related information across internal teams and overseas partners.
  

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in ocean import operations, freight forwarding, or international logistics.
  
• Ability to coordinate end-to-end ocean shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and on-time vessel departures.
  
• Experience managing bills of lading (B/L), commercial invoices, and packing lists in compliance with carrier and customer requirements.
  
• Ability to prepare and provide required shipping documentation to support customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and shipper’s export declarations.
  
• Experience coordinating international cargo movements by managing documentation flow and shipment-related information across internal teams and overseas partners.
  
• English and Korean bilingual (preferred).
  
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $60,000–$65,000 yearly. Your base salary will depend on your experience, qualifications, and skills.
