Health Operations Medical Assistant

Location: Tinley Park


Compensation: $20 - $22 per hour

Position Overview:
The Health Operations Administrative Medical Assistant supports multiple clinic locations and serves as a resource to ensure adherence to clinical workflows, support inbox and task compliance, monitor quality metrics, and provide on-site Medical Assistant coverage and coaching as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical & Operational Duties:

• Provide hands-on MA coverage during clinic hours and serve as a workflow coach.
• Train new and existing MAs on clinical workflows and documentation standards.
• Conduct routine supply and equipment audits; ensure compliance and coordinate BioMed service calls.
• Monitor the completion of depression screenings and assign reconciliation tasks.
• Oversee MA scheduling and execution for on-site retinal-eye exams.
  Review weekly missing-slip reports and ensure nurse visit reconciliation.
• Gather MA responses on immunization and medication reconciliation inquiries for Quality Nurses.
• Coordinate with clinic leaders on inbox and task completion reports.

Administrative Duties:

• Distribute weekly clinical-inbox and task-compliance reports by location.
• Support quality assurance through chart reviews for potential patient discharges.
• Assist in planning committee meetings and off-hour events as needed.
  Maintain contact with vendors for services such as hazardous-waste removal.

Qualifications:

• Active CPR certification.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program (diploma or certificate).
  Certified MA (CMA/RMA) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience (pediatrics and OB/GYN preferred)
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel between clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
