CNC Production Machining Specialist

Where: Downers Grove, IL
Pay: $25–$35/hour DOE
Shift: 2nd | Status: Union
TekPro is aligning skilled CNC talent with a long-standing manufacturer in the western suburbs. If you excel at holding tight tolerances and keeping production on pace, this role is for you.
What you will tackle
- Operate and set up CNC machines to produce precision parts
- Read and apply blueprints and technical drawings to plan each run
- Manage tooling, perform offsets, and make on-the-fly adjustments
- Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions
- Hit quality metrics while achieving efficiency and throughput goals
- Maintain safe, compliant practices in a structured shop
Your background
- 2+ years in CNC machining within a manufacturing setting
- Comfortable interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring tools
- Experience with setups, tooling, and machine adjustments (preferred)
- Detail-driven, quality-focused approach
- Available to work 2nd shift
