Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Chicago, IL, you will:
- Research, design, develop, test and implement the appropriate microservice solutions for Deere digital products using mainstream programming languages and database skills;
- Collaborate globally;
- Participate in discussions with core technical team and extended functional teams to understand technical requirements required to satisfy business requirements;
- Understand applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints;
- Analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions;
- Use programming skills necessary to create and maintain applications.
What Skills You Need
- 4 years of experience in design and develop application front-end using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax and jQuery, and leverage UI frameworks like ReactJS
- 4 years of experience in design and develop backend microservices using Java and J2EE technologies, and create and consume RESTful Web services
- 4 years of experience in ensure code quality using TDD approach of development and automate test cases using JUnit and Selenium
- 4 years of experience in deploy code from development environment to QA, Staging, and Production environment using CI/CD pipeline to build and deploy features implemented by teams
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 4 years related experience.
