Senior End‑to‑End Supply Chain Operations Leader (CPG Manufacturing)
Lead the Flow from Oven to Aisle
At Mondelēz International, we’re building the future of snacking. Step into a role where you orchestrate every movement from our bakeries to our customers—optimizing service, cost, and compliance while mentoring a high-performing logistics and materials team.
A day in the life
- Start by scanning overnight KPIs across warehousing, transportation, import/export, and co‑packing to balance service and cost for multiple routes‑to‑market.
- Align with 3PL partners to fine‑tune capacity, scheduling, and quality, keeping health & safety, food defense, and legal requirements front and center.
- Run the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle for materials and product supply—driving cycling strategies and flexible scheduling across the cluster.
- Coach leaders in Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S), initially centered on the Chicago Bakery, to build one integrated, capability‑rich team.
- Advance continuous improvement initiatives that tighten governance, reduce logistics costs, and cut our carbon footprint—without compromising service levels.
- Steward the function’s annual capital plan and budget (AC plan), ensuring flawless execution and adherence to internal and external compliance standards.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for product supply and materials events; apply PDCA rigor and lock in preventive actions.
- Champion best‑practice sharing across bakeries, build a strong external network, and provide expertise for new projects and change initiatives.
Core responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end logistics execution: warehouses, transportation, international logistics (import/export), and co‑packing.
- Deliver the business plan through consistent service, agile adaptation to customer needs, and capacity planning.
- Manage logistics operational budgets with best‑in‑class controls and governance.
- Establish and maintain a business continuity plan for logistics operations.
- Select, manage, and develop long‑term partnerships with third‑party service providers.
- Oversee cluster‑wide materials management programs and integration so bakeries operate as one coordinated cluster.
- Define performance standards for product supply and materials teams; set KPIs, review results, and close gaps via PDCA.
- Ensure training and coaching programs are in place, including an annual training plan for all employees in the cluster.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years leading teams (union environment experience preferred), with a solid track record in FMCG/CPG logistics operations.
- Hands‑on manufacturing experience and functional depth in Product Supply and Materials Management (including project management).
- Proven ability to build teams, influence stakeholders, and negotiate effectively internally and with 3PLs.
- Strategic thinker with strong business/financial acumen, results orientation, and excellent communication skills.
- Managerial courage, conflict management, and disciplined project/program leadership.
- Proficiency in Food and Beverage Manufacturing.
Where you’ll work
This position is onsite 100% at our Chicago Bakery located at 7300 S Kedzie Ave.
