Since 1968, our Bedford Park, IL facility has delivered value to manufacturing clients. As a CNC Turning Specialist, you’ll craft components for the rubber roller industry while helping us elevate our programming operations and machine capabilities. This is a full-time role (40 hours weekly, with overtime as needed) where your skill and initiative make an immediate impact.

What impact looks like

Picture this: You walk into a well-organized job shop, load a new job, and translate a blueprint into a dialed-in setup. You choose the right tooling and workholding, set speeds and feeds, cut a first article, and verify results within tight tolerances. If something’s off, you troubleshoot—tweaking the program or the process—document the run, and keep the area spotless. Then you jump in to support other equipment and teammates as needed.

Your responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes; support other machines as required.
• Perform first-article inspections and maintain close tolerances.
• Select tooling and workholding and optimize speeds/feeds.
• Interpret blueprints and complete daily documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve machine or program issues.
• Uphold a clean, organized work environment.

What you bring

• 3+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience; versatility with other equipment is beneficial.
• Fanuc control and G-code experience.
• Proficient with calipers, indicators, and related measuring tools.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• On-machine programming experience preferred.
• Motivated, curious, and collaborative in a fast-moving, team-driven shop.
