Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Chicago, IL 60617 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Acute care hospital with 205 beds and Level II NICU
• Position Type: Travel Radiology Tech
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/10/2026)
• Shift: 8-hour evening shifts (start times: 12:00 PM or 11:00 PM)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• Scrub Color: Grey
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,420 - $2,480

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
• Active ARRT certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Proficient in portable x-rays, chest x-rays, long bone x-rays, C-Arm, surgical imaging, and fluoroscopy
• Experience with EPIC EMR and GE PACS/X-ray equipment preferred
• Ability to float throughout the hospital for portable imaging assignments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Radiology Tech Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including chest x-rays, fluoroscopy, long bone studies, and surgical patient imaging
• Operate portable x-ray equipment and C-Arm in various hospital units
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department and inpatient setting
• Accurately document procedures and patient information using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in hospital orientation and unit-specific training
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols
