JOB SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW
The Problem-Solving Courts Project Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the judges and team members in the Problem-Solving Courts (Drug Courts, Veterans Courts, and Mental Health Courts) currently operating in the Circuit Court of Cook County. This is a full-time, limited duration position fully devoted to support the administration and management of the Cook County Adult Redeploy Illinois (ARI) grant funded projects.

The Project Coordinator’s responsibilities include troubleshooting and monitoring court operations and achievement of project’s goals and objectives, assisting the Director of Problem-Solving with management of daily operations, assisting the team with data collection for the project, grant management, quarterly programmatic and financial reporting, and coordination of interagency and community partnerships to expand substance use disorder (SUD) and behavioral health treatment services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions of the Project Coordinator include the following:
  • Work with the Director of Problem-Solving Courts and PSC administration team to implement program activities and coordinate the collection of program data to meet PSC reporting requirements;
  • Work collaboratively with a PSC administration team as well as third-party vendors and partner agencies to meet program and service objectives of the PSC;
  • Coordination and management of interagency and community partnerships, including treatment providers and clinical case management providers;
  • Attend scheduled c ourt staffings and status calls;
  • Monitor and maintain an accurate database of program participants from referral to termination;
  • Develop monthly, quarterly and annual ARI performance reports for approval by the program agency prior to dissemination to interested parties or submission to grant funding agencies;
  • Work with the Director of Problem - Solving Courts in the coordination of ongoing education and training for PSC team members to ensure compliance program standards;
  • Meet productivity standards as established by the Director of Problem-Solving .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s degree in Human Services field required, preference to individuals Licensed in Clinical Social Work or a Licensed Clinical Professional.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the human services field required; preference to experience working with adults in criminal justice system, court operations, and/or project management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Knowledge of criminal justice system, court processes and legal terminology preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, online collaborative tools, and overall computer skills/technical aptitude
  • An ability to act professionally and respectfully
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team to complete project tasks
  • Must be able to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with a diverse audience
  • Must maintain confidentiality
