- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs for gas fireplaces.
- Replace or repair faulty components, including gas valves, ignition systems, thermocouples, and thermopiles.
- Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of gas fireplaces to ensure efficient operation and prolong their lifespan.
- Install new gas fireplaces in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot complex fireplace issues and find effective solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, explaining repair options, and offering maintenance tips.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Obtain NFI Certification within one (1) calendar year.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Appliance Technician.
- Basic knowledge of gas fireplace systems, components, and operation.
- Familiarity with electrical and gas systems and the ability to troubleshoot related issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
