Finance Associate Attorney (Junior-Level)

About the Practice

The Finance group in Chicago represents lenders and borrowers in a wide range of debt finance transactions. The practice focuses on structuring, documenting, and negotiating complex financing arrangements, including syndicated credit facilities and secured lending transactions.

Attorneys in the group work closely with clients on the full lifecycle of financing deals, from initial commitment through closing and post-closing administration.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an associate attorney with approximately 2–3 years of experience in debt finance and general transactional work.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Drafting and negotiating commitment papers and credit agreements
• Security agreements and other collateral documentation
• UCC-related issues and secured lending structures
• General corporate and transactional matters supporting finance deals

Candidates should have strong academic credentials, solid law firm experience, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced deal environment.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $260,000 to $310,000 annually , with final compensation determined based on experience and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable law. This role may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
