The Director of Technical Product Management,  is responsible for the technical enablement of Enterprise Service Management. This includes technical ownership for a group of technology portfolios and products primarily on the ServiceNow platform. This position is responsible for driving end-to-end delivery across all technology products and portfolios within their work group. They work closely with the business partner leadership to influence business strategy and develop technology roadmaps, providing thought leadership and advisory on current and future capabilities and solutions to business problems using technology. They supervise the development and launch of new technology products and features. They implement product strategies, conducting market research, and collaborating with multi-functional teams to bring products to market. This position reports to Sr. Director, Technical Product Management – EPP, Core Solutions.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Partner engagement & management
  • Work with business partners to define and prioritize product roadmaps. Provide guidance in the planning, coordination, and execution of product delivery. Ensure standards are leveraged to deliver high quality and minimize business disruptions.
  • Tech and product leadership
  • Understand customer business imperatives. Influence and collaborate with Business Partners, Tech Colleagues and Vendor Partners to drive product & platform strategy and One McDonald's Way across global markets.
  • Leverage internal and external knowledge to optimize our technology offering. Leads and inspires innovative thinking, approaches, and solutions to address complex operational and technology challenges
  • Foster a culture of innovation by actively exploring emerging technologies and seeing opportunities for product diversification and expansion.
  • Team leadership and development
  • Create a product centric organization and foster agile ways of working.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Lead teams to complete roadmaps efficiently, allocating resources and budgets to ensure timely and successful product launches.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service within the team. Develop team members' skills and capabilities through training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Vendor management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners and service providers. Manage vendor contracts, service level agreements, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with VMO, procurement and legal teams to negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with vendor agreements. Stay updated on vendor roadmaps and product updates to align with our application/product strategy.
  • Drive high availability, resilient operating model
  • Provide guidance and oversight day-to-day operations of applications, ensuring system availability, stability, and performance.
  • Presides over design configuration decisions to ensure a seamless user experience that aligns with the platform design strategy
  • Has ownership and oversight of the platform instances, the core platform team, and any issues
  • Collaborate within the greater technology organization to establish and maintain efficient application infrastructure, including servers, databases, and interfaces.
  • Ensure standard processes are followed for incident management, organizational change, and problem resolution.
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate measures to enhance application reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

  • Shown expertise in overseeing top-performing product and engineering teams, influencing relevant parties, and steering projects that necessitate adaptability
  • 7–10+ years in Enterprise Service Management, Digital Employee Experience, enterprise platforms, or digital transformation roles
  • 3 years of ServiceNow experience with responsibilities for the overall strategy, implementation, and optimization of an organization's ServiceNow platform
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Strong management experience and leadership knowledge in assigned domain area
  • Broad knowledge in assigned domain area, including the latest technology trends and applicable use cases
  • Experience managing in a matrixed environment, with ability to collaborate and work multi-functionally with leaders at all levels.
  • Comfortable with change and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading agile self-managed product teams of multiple sizes and types
  • Experience in new product integration to successfully incorporate new products into the existing product portfolio.
  • Experience in managing product releases to ensure successful product launch and adoption.
  • Highly qualified working collaboratively with business partners to solve complex technical challenges
  • Possess effective communication, storytelling, negotiation, influencing, discernment, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong innovation skills to identify, develop, and make improvements to techniques, procedures, services, or products
  • Experience applying data and reporting to present key business cases, make informed business decisions, and facilitate continuous improvement
  • Strong positive thinking that include creating a safe environment to learn, challenge, accept risk taking and a willingness to be wrong

Salary Range

Salary Ranges-$168,350.00 - $218,860.00
