Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits, budgeting, and general accounting functions. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Help prepare financial statements and reports for management.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
- Stay updated on current accounting regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
